Military modular 4 piece sleeping bag system. Includes 2 sleeping bags with gortex bivy cover and stuff sack. Good used condition- no rips no holes. 4 pc modular sleep system. Made in the usa! Official usa military army surplus. Condition report: these are good to very good sets, no holes, no rips. These were used by soldiers, and then laundered and turned in after their tour ended. The black and green bags may have some light snags in the rip stop nylon shell which is commonly caused by the velcro rubbing against nearby layers. The goretex bivy cover has no holes, but from frequent washing, the layers may show a little separation in a few areas (it appears like bubbling- see pic), but doesn’t affect strength or use. All zippers, buttons, velcro, and ties are in great working order. They do not smell and they are clean. These have been inspected, snapped together, rolled, stuffed in the sack and are ready to use. The stuff sack is the large style- and has 6 vertical cinch straps. Note – as of 12/11/2014 – the bivies we are using are trully very good and were used very little- in fact if there was even a tiny prick or tiny slit in the fabric, rather than run the risk of it not being completely water resistant, they’ve applied additional small pieces of goretex seam repair tape to the inside of the bivy which has a special glue that fuses thru the layers to seal any possible place water can get thru. These aren’t noticable from the outside of the bivy cover. Normally they only fuse the expensive gortex seam seal tape over seams, but we can see that these were refurbished to a high standard with the intent of re-issuing so even tiny pricks were sealed up – but we assume due to draw downs from overseas operations, they are now taking these out of service and releasing them to the public.
