Hi there and welcome to my listing for a BRAND NEW & UNUSED Cumulus Quantum 450 sleeping bag. The Cumulus brand has recently been re-branded as Criterion – same great products just a name change, for what reason I don’t know? Cumulus bags have long been renowned for being incredibly light whilst being superbly warm right down to their stated comfort ranges and they achieve this by using some of the BEST down available and combining this with world renowned Pertex fabrics which are incredibly light and tough. I bought this bag as a middle of the road option as I was intending to go on a summer Alpine trip which didn’t happen when initially planned. When it did take place I opted to use my beefier Rab bag which is good down to -20c instead – the trip was pushing into the winter months and so I needed the security of a warmer bag. As I also have a summer down bag good to around -1c I have never found a use for this bag in the end and whilst I have always kept it for that occasion when it would be the perfect option, my partner has assured me that the (minimal) space that it takes up can be put to better use!!! This is a fantastic bag though and here are the specs. Weight – 865 grams in the stuff-sack – I have weighed this inside a dry bag with a silk liner and it still came out at under 1kg – pretty darn impressive for a 4 season bag. Packed dimensions without compression – 30 cm x 15 cm – this is inside the provided stuff-sack, it can be made almost half that size if used in conjunction with either a dry bag or compression sack – the photo with the wine bottle shows it in its normal stuff-sack – still a ridiculously small and lightweight package. 870 Fill power Polish goose down – some of the very best down in the world. Down / Feather ratio – 96 / 4. Bag Construction method – Trapezoidal. YKK zips and fasteners – the best in the world! Comes with a larger storage bag – it should be and always has been stored in this to prevent the down from losing its lofting abilities. A fantastic piece of kit for all year round UK usage and summer Alpine trips. I will accept sensible offers. Any questions please ask.
