Military Modular 4 piece Sleeping Bag System XLONG – very rare extra long size If you are six feet or taller, these xlong models are worth every penny. Includes 2 Sleeping Bags with GORTEX Bivy Cover and stuff sack. VERY GOOD CONDITION – minor signs of use- no holes/no tears – see condition notes below. Year Round 4 pc Modular Sleep System. Made in the USA! Official USA Military Army Surplus. VERY GOOD CONDITION – All four pieces in very clean very good condition. Only light sign of previous indoor use. Two professionally done patches – Absolutely no holes, no tears – all snaps, zippers/flaps in perfect working order. The green patrol has some snagging- it is common for the velro straps or someone’s toe nails etc to occasionally catch the rip stop nylon shell which pulls at a thread- they don’t affect function and don’t form any holes. There was a tiny tear in the bottom of the nylon shell of the black intermediate bag and my wife repaired it with a patch as shown in the last picture. The bivy cover also has one 2 inch by 2 inch goretex patch. The xlong model is about a foot or so longer than the regular length- and provides adequate length inside the bags for individuals up to 6′ 6 tall or perhaps even a few inches more depending on how much head room you like. It also provides a couple inches of extra width inside – but it’s primarily the length that makes these xlong models so nice. This package Includes ALL 4 pieces: (XLONG MODEL). Modular Sleeping Patrol Bag. Intermediate Cold Modular Sleeping Bag. When all 3 bags are combined inside each other and fastened together, the modular sleep system is rated to -40 degrees! These modular sleeping bags are mummy-style bags and include the Green Patrol Bag, Black Intermediate Sleeping Bag, Woodland Camo Gore-tex Bivy Cover, and Black Nylon Compression Stuff Sack. Each component can be used separately for warmer weather conditions or joined together for colder weather conditions. The 4 modular sleeping bag components include. Green Patrol Sleeping Bag This bag, when used alone is rated for temps down to 30 degrees F. It’s ripstop nylon with polyester fill and is water resistant. It has a reversible double pull zipper which allows the top or bottom end to ventilate and also includes a draft overlapping flap to prevent heat loss. Includes draw string for hood. Black Intermediate Sleeping Bag This bag (the black fits inside the green) is rated for temps down to -10 degrees F. It has a foot box at the bottom that contains double the insulation as the rest of the bag for more warmth. The chest collar prevents air drafts. Like the green patrol, this bag is also ripstop nylon with polyester fill and is water resistant. By placing the black inside the green, and both inside the goretex bivy cover you can weather temperatures down to -30. Woodland Camo Gortex Bivy Cover The bivy cover is made of durable 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric. It is waterproof and windproof and can pr. Otect you and your s. Leeping bags in nasty or cold weather. Old Military-Style Down Mummy Bag. Width middle: 26.5. Width Foot: 16.5. 7 snaps for closure. I don’t really know much for sure about this mummy bag. It has been in my family for 55 years, in California. My father may have gotten it at an army surplus store, so we could use it for camping. It isn’t stained and doesn’t have a bad oder, but does have a couple of imperfections which are listed above. Liner will need ironing because, as you can see, it is very wrinkled. I don’t know if this dates to WWII or the Korean War, or even if it is American made. If anyone knows–please let me know. That’s when my confidence that this is a WWII U. Military bag came into question. It is still usable, but may need a little repair. But I would guess a collector of vintage military items would like it to enhance his or her collection.
