Vintage Rare HOLUBAR Royalight 4 Season Expedition Mountaineering -20 F Premium Goose Down Sleeping Bag made in the USA as shown in the pictures and in excellent overall used condition with no smells, rips, holes, tears or repairs. This is nice but the care tag has been removed. This is uncleaned and has a couple very light minor dirt/stain markings which look as if they can be washed out since this is an unwashed item as found. After washed this bag could easily qualify to be then in near mint condition which doesn’t look as if it was used much at all. YKK zipper works great along with all the cinch cords. No carry bag was found or included. This has about 9″ of loft and very thick & fluffy but yet lightweight and weighs only 5 lbs & measures about 72″ in length from the bottom of the bag to the head area. From the bottom of the bag to the very end of the pillow stretched out it measures about 80″ in length and the center measures around 25″ wide and the top portion around 30 wide. Stitching is all good and tight, cording looks still new and clean along with the little leather patches attached and in general an amazing bag of exceptional quality and condition for the age. This has snaps for a liner but no liner included. SLEEPING BAG TEMPERATURE RATINGS AND SLEEPING BAG LOFT — The scoop on Sleeping Bag temperature ratings, the best method for an average consumer without expensive testing lab equipment is to lay out the subject sleeping bag for several days to become fully fluffed-out. Then take a normal 12 inch ruler and gently shove it up against the side of the bag, about where your ribs are. Carefully sight a level line, most likely you’ll see a reading of somewhere around 5 to 8 inches. 5 inches would be good to about 25 degrees for an average sleeper, assuming the bag doesn’t have any broken internal baffles with big cold spots resulting. 6 inches good to about 15 7 inches good to about 5 8 inches good to about 10 below. Shown below: the ruby red bag is a 1972 Snowline bag with 7.4 inches of loft, vs. A blue 1965 Holubar Expedition Royalight bag with 9.3 inches of loft. “Snowline” was the original name chosen by the founder of Snowlion, but lasted only briefly due to conflict with the prior users of the name (Eddie Bauer). Could use a light cleaning from storage. Pre-owned and vintage items will have wear and signs of age. Please view the pictures closely and use photos for condition and description. Please DON’T ASSUME something comes with it. If you do NOT see it in the pictures then its NOT included… My home is a smoke and pet free home but the item could have been found and came from another source.
