As new as you will ever find for a used sleeping bag. Every single one of the 20-ish nights I slept in this bag, I used a vapor barrier liner, which prevents all body oils, perspiration, etc from entering the liner and avoids compromising the insulation. Combined with the Gore-tex Dryloft exterior fabric, and this sleeping bag has been very well protected from anything that would compromise its effectiveness. Your experience will vary due to many factors, but I was able to sleep quite comfortably in this bag in temps down to -30F under the Aurora Borealis in Denali National Park without a shelter. It is an amazing winter sleeping bag, but could also work as a nice 3-season bag for anyone who runs cold. The bag is a Long, which I believe Marmot indicates will comfortably fit someone up to 6′ 6 tall. Or it would offer extra space at your feet for a little extra clothing, boot liners, or water bottles. It has been stored either flat fully lofted or in a large cotton sack when it is not in use. It has been an amazing sleeping bag for me, but I simply don’t use it anymore, so I’d rather see it go to someone who will use it for its intended purpose. ITEM: GoLite Fur 1 Sleep System + aftermarket stuff sack. Bag still has tags attached. I never attempted to wash the bag and it hasn’t been used. It is in this exact same condition as when I bought it. That’s where its been all these years. It has not been used so the bag loft and foam condition is good. GoLite Fur 1 Sleep System Own a piece of VINTAGE ultralight backpacking and camping history… You’d be lucky to even find another one of these for sale anywhere in the US… And to find one in this condition, unused is incredibly RARE. GoLite rose to fame on the tails of Ray Jardine’s popularity with the book “Beyond Backpacking” which is still a GREAT read… Highly recommended and their specialty was ULTRA lightweight gear and clothing to aid backpackers in covering more miles per day or to simply enjoy the scenery a bit more without being bogged down by weight. I bought this in prep for an ultra-fast completion of the John Muir Trail which never happened due to a knee injury during training.
