This sleeping bag is 84 long with a right hand zipper. My exposed face was the only part of me that noticed the cold temperature. As can be seen from the photos, this sleeping bag is in nearly pristine condition without any noticeable stains, spots, or soiled areas. The zipper is first rate and unzips smoothly without snagging. This was a most important consideration for me since I tend to be a little bit claustrophobic when zipped into the mummy configuration. A high-performance option for cold-weather backpacking, the Kelty Ignite DriDown 0 Degree sleeping bag provides the lightweight, compressibility of down insulation with all-weather reliability normally associated only with synthetic fills. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but DriDown performs differently. Employing a unique, innovative polymer application, DriDown actually creates a hydrophobic finish on each individual plume of down. This treatment results in insulation that stays dry up to 7 times longer and dries 33% faster, should it become wet, than untreated down bags. Perhaps most impressively, this allows the insulation to retain 98% of its loft which translates into maintained warmth that untreated down bags simply cannot achieve. Box-baffle construction eliminates cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the interior of the Ignite DriDown 0 Degree bag. A draft tube behind the 58, two-way locking zipper, a fully-insulated draft collar and a contoured hood with an insulated hood baffle further enhance the thermal efficiency of the Ignite DriDown 0 Degree bag. The hood utilizes Kelty’s patented FatMan and Ribbon drawcords, allowing you to adjust the top or lower sections of the hood by feel even when it’s dark outside. A polyester taffeta liner provides internal comfort. Other features found on the Ignite DriDown 0 Degree include sleeping pad security loops, internal liner loops and hanging loops.
