Snugpak Softie Expansion 4 Sleeping Bag – 4 season Winter Sleeping Bag. The next generation of Snugpak’s Softie range has arrived, featuring the Expansion 4 which replaces the popular Chrysalis 4 Winter sleeping bag. The Softie Expansion sleeping bags have a unique expanding system called the EEP (Elasticated Expander Panel) which allows the user the option to make the bag wider for more space to move around or to help cool the bag in hotter weather. The clip system also allows for the length of the bag to be shortened to optimise heat retention for smaller people. The Expansion range also features a removable LED light attached in a pouch at the top of the hood ideal for reading with a steady light or as a signal with the flashing SOS mode. The bags retain the tried and tested Softie® Original insulation a synthetic filling which mimics the properties of down and is encased in a technical outer fabric, Paratex Micro. Tough, lightweight, highly windproof and water-repellent, it is exceptionally hard wearing and heavy duty, yet remains soft to the touch which makes it ideal for creating a comfortable and durable sleeping bag. Choosing the right sleeping bag for unpredictable weather is never straightforward but a guaranteed right answer has got one step closer with the Chrysalis range. Softie® Original insulation filling.
