MARMOT HELIUM 850 DOWN LONG LEFT SLEEPING BAG – EUC This bag is in fantastic condition with almost zero flaws, no rips, no tears, no worn spots and no stains! The bag has been stored hanging, or in a large storage sack. The bag has never been exposed to pets or campfire smoke, and there are no odors. Very light and high lofting bag, and it is stuffed with 21 ounces of 850 fill water resistant down. This is the previous version of the bag, from 2014, and it has higher-end down compared with the current bag which is 800 fill. And the current model has a second zipper, which IMO just adds weight. I laid this bag next to a Western Mountaineering Apache, and this bag has the same loft, about 6 inches. If you don’t know about temperature ratings, I suggest doing a little research on EN ratings to get to know how it will work for you. This is a lesson I keep learning over and over. I’ve weighed this bag and it comes in at 39 ounces. It comes with a storage bag, which I highly recommend storing it in whenever possible (compression over time causes the bag to lose loft) and a Marmot stuff sack for when you’re backpacking. At 511 and 175 pounds, this bag is a little too roomy for me, I have too much room for cold air. The bag is ideal for a person up to 66, weighing 200-250 pounds. I bought a different Marmot bag, a slimmer bag, because I generally love their design, especially when it comes to the foot box, the area that enclosed your head, and the overall warmth-to-weight ratio and quality. Marmot got their start making down products, and they still make some of the best high-end bags out there, in my opinion. This bag was made in China and filled/finished in California. The only flaw with this bag is that one of the decals on the draft tube has flaked off. I also have a brand new, unused Marmot bag with this problem. Stuff sack and storage bag included. I used this maybe 3 times and has been stored properly in its storage bag inside my house. No stains and in great condition. 800 fill +2 oz extra down in it.
