For sale is a gently used custom-ordered Enlightened Equipment sleeping quilt. Same idea as a sleeping bag, a sleeping quilt cuts out 3/4 of the underside (the part you lay on against your sleeping pad) to reduce weight. Geared for ultralight backpacking. I ordered this last year for a ultra-light seven-day backpacking trip in the Wind River Range, WY. The quilt functioned perfectly, however I tend to be a cold sleeper, and I was borderline chilled. To the bags credit, it was cold outside and it snowed on us 3 of the nights. The tent was open-air on the sides too. Given the same conditions (or warmer), with a full tent, I would have been fine. My brother had the exact same quilt and tent configuration and he was warm. Depends on the person and if they sleep warm or cold. It’s only been used for this trip and I wore fleece pants and a long-sleeve base layer. If this was for summer camping in Arizona, it would be way too much.
