It will retain a layer of warmth around your body more effectively, staying warmer to keep you more comfortable. It comes with a compression stuff sack to help you optimise packing space – using the compression stuff bag, it will pack down to approximately 33cm x 27cm. Mountain Equipment Helium 800 Ultralight Down Insulated 4-season Sleeping bag. Max user height 185cm. Max width at shoulder 75cm. A fantastic Ultralight 4-season Down bag in beautifully clean used condition. Hood drawcord works fine, two way zip runs smoothly. No holes or rips and no fabric pulls or snags. No odours or stains. There is some very light and almost unnoticeable marking on the rim of the hood, see pic. Used with a silk liner and always kept in the mesh sack when not in use. The down lofts up beautifully. Shell material is ultralight highly breathable Helium nylon fabric and the inner lining is a very soft and comfortable nylon. The bag interior has a lovely luxurious feel to it. The two way zip is ideal for ventilation on milder nights. It is an extremely warm bag given how light it is and you can rely on it at temperatures well below freezing. Insulation is top quality Down as always used by Mountain Equipment in their down bags. Ethically sourced and traceable using the Down Codex system. There is a drawcorded hood and insulated neck and shoulder baffle which will cinch down to keep out any draughts. It packs very compact for such a high spec bag. If required you could use a compression sack to further reduce the pack size but its not really necessary. It comes with a mesh sack to store it in and retain loft during storage and a Exped waterproof roll top dry bag stuffsack for packing. Sorry, but the original stuffsack split during use. It does actually pack better in the Exped drybag anyway. Perfect for late autumn /winter mountaineers, backpackers or use in colder environments.
