US Military 4 piece Modular Sleep System. Patrol Bag : Rated for temperatures 50 to 30 degrees. Reversible double pull slider allows for top or bottom ventilation. Draft flap prevents heat loss. Intermediate Cold Weather Bag : Rated for temperatures 30 to -10 degrees. Anatomically designed boot box contains twice the insulation as the bag. Sewn in quilted chest collar prevents air drafts up and down through the hood. Hood adjusts for heat retention. Bivy Cover : Made of durable waterproof and windproof 3 layer GORE-TEX fabric. When combined with Patrol and ICW bags, the system is rated to temperatures -20 to -50 degrees with proper clothing. Stuff Sack : Compressible to one cubic foot with six 1 inch wide nylon webbing straps that adjust by ladder lock buckles. Reinforcement webbing is sewn around the circumference of the bag. Nylon draw cord closure. The patrol bag, intermediate cold weather bag, and the bivy cover snap together to create a sleep system that can keep you comfortable in temperatures from 50 to -50 degrees with proper ECWCS clothing layers. The bivy cover is wind and water resistant and is often used in place of a tent when situations require it.
