Vintage Overfilled The North Face Chrysalis Down Sleeping Bag. Please read the description of this awesome bag. I bought this bag in 1996 from REI brand new. I immediately sent it to All About Down in Seattle to be overfilled with 700 fill down, which was state of the art back then. All About Down was REIs go-to down garment repair and customization contractor. It was all done through REI. This bag weighs 5.0 pounds. Probably double the weight it was before overfilling. This bag is awesome as a quilt at home either on the bed or for a cold evening on the couch. I used it for car and RV camping with a blanket underneath and this bag draped on top of me. It was like my own private suite lol. It should easily be able to go down below freezing with all that down if you zip yourself in. Very attractive gem stone like purple nylon shell and a silky soft nylon lining. I just took it out of its cotton storage bag to take pics, it will puff up a bit more than shown in these pictures. It has a two-stage zipper system. The upper zipper zips down to the foot box. Then a lower zipper zips around the foot box to lay flat or wrap around your feet and keep your toes toasty warm while the top is open. The bag is clean and completely odor free. Still looks like the day I took it home in 1996. Some lucky person is going to love this bag! Bag is in good condition and warm. USA Made Vintage Bag. One very tiny spot SEE Last Picture. No Flaws and the Opti zipper works great. Long length bag 4lbs 3 ozs. Check out my other items. Some countries track First Class also. I use clean materials but they may look used as sometimes they are. If you are ordering goose down or other bulky items they may come compressed. Description: The Improved 5-Part ACU Sleep System is constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather.
