Authentic USMC Issued Improved Bivy Cover and Complete Three Season Sleep System (3S). No holes or tears. This item is Military Surplus and MAY have light use ie. This item is Military Surplus and packaging may have size label on wet weather bag, light soil or distress from long-term storage wear however, it will not affect the intended use. This is a genuine USMC improved bivy cover which is part of the US Marine Corps Three Season Sleep System (3S). It is designed to cover the other sleeping bags in the system, making them waterproof and highly insulated. It is 18% lighter and provides improved comfort, protection and volume. It allows a Marine to be totally encapsulated under extreme weather conditions. The material is a microporous laminated membrane with highly water repellant exterior. An integrated flexible wire allows the Bivy to stand off from the face and a bug proof screen window can be fully or partially opened. In warmer weather, this bivy cover can be used as a rain shelter and features a mesh above the head allowing the user to see out of the bag. The cover is 88 long and can be used with your own sleeping bags – it does not require the other bags in the system. The USMC Three-Season Sleeping Bag was designed to be a lightweight compatible military sleeping bag for temperatures above 20°F. The Inner Bag comes in two sizes Regular with the inside coloring is Coyote Brown and Long with its inside coloring, Foliage Gray. When combined with the full Marine Corps system of a Bivy cover, sleeping pad (not included) and proper clothing it is rated to use down to 5. The USMC Three-Season Sleeping Bag is very soft, lightweight, and comfortable. The is produced with an anti-microbial liner that helps to protect against the growth of microorganisms, baffle tubing to trap in body heat, and full head closures to keep you warm. The zipper is very easy to use to get in and out. It’s robust as well and won’t break like zippers on cheaper commercial brands. The Small Compression Stuff Sack is Coyote Brown. It is a waterproof bag that will compress your gear to allow the ability to pack in a smaller Ruck or Backpack. The Black Mesh Bag has a draw string to contain its contents. It’s the ultimate sleeping bag for camping and outdoor enthusiasts. Made in the USA and designed to withstand the rigors of the Marine Corps. Shell-100% Nylon Gore-Tex® 100% water/wind proof outer layer. Zippered mesh face screen. Wire Stiffeners in mesh to keep off face. Window flap with Toggle Fastener and Zipper. Loops for Hanging (2).
