Genuine us military 4 piece modular sleep system. No holes, rips, tears, or damage.
Will show some wear, minor soiling and may have repairs, but zippers, drawstrings, and all snaps are in place and in excellent working condition. The original cost is $325 to $358. The modular sleep system (mss) is a modular sleeping bag system used by the united states armed forces. The mss consists of 4 individual components the make up the complete mss modular sleep system. The 4 piece system is made up of the following. A woodland camouflaged, waterproof, breathable gore-tex bivy cover. A lightweight olive drab green patrol sleeping bag. A black intermediate cold weather sleeping bag. And a compression stuff sack is included to store and carry the system. Genuine us military issue modular sleep system (mss). They are mummy-style sleeping bags and include the olive drab green patrol bag, black intermediate sleeping bag, woodland camo gore-tex bivy cover, and black compression stuff sack. This is a great system! The green patrol bag provides cold weather protection from 35° to 50° fahrenheit. The black intermediate bag provides cold weather protection from minus 5° to 35° fahrenheit. When used together, the patrol bag and intermediate bags provide extreme cold weather protection in temperatures as low as minus 40° fahrenheit when used with ecwcs. The bivy cover can be used with each of three mss configurations (green patrol, black intermediate, or combined) to be compatable with the environment in which the system is being used. The bivy cover provides environmental protection from wind and water. The sleeping bags are made of ripstop nylon fabric and continuous filament polyester insulation. The woodland camouflage bivy cover is made with waterproof, breathable, coated or laminated nylon fabric called gore-tex. The compression sack is made with water-resistant, durable nylon fabric. When all 3 bags are combined and fastened together, the sleep system is rated to -40° when used with the ecwcs! All components are genuine military issue from government stock. The bivy cover is made of durable waterproof 3 layer gore-tex fabric.
Reversible double pull slider which allows the top or bottom to aerate. Non-locking slide fastener self repairs if jammed or snagged. The hood adjusts for heat retention.
Rated for temperatures to -10°. Foot area contains twice the insulation as the rest of the bag to keep feet toasty warm. Quilted chest collar prevents air drafts. Hood also adjusts for heat retention.
Compressible to one cubic foot. Nylon drawcord closure with a barrel lock. May be either 6 strap or 9 strap. Woodland camouflage bivy cover (waterproof) – measures 76″ x 35″ to 76″ x 23″. Black intermediate cold weather sleeping bag – measures 87″ x 35 1/2″ x 23. Green patrol sleeping bag – measures 92″37″ x 24. Black compression stuff sack – measures flat = 29″ long, 19″ wide / stuffed = 29″ long / 12″ diameter. All snaps, zippers and cords in perfect working order.

Us military issue foam sleeping pad/mat. No holes, rips, tears, missing parts, or damage. Components may show some wear and/or soiling from previous use, but zippers, hood drawstrings, velcro, and all snaps in place and in excellent working condition. Genuine us military issue modular sleep system (mss). This patented state of the art system has been tested and proven effective by the military for bivouacking in all types of inclement weather. Join both sleeping bags together by placing the black bag inside green bag and snapping all black bag snaps to green bag snaps along each side of the zippers. Tuck the black bag hood inside the green bag hood.
Use only the zipper from the green bag to exit and enter bags when in this configuration. This configuration is designed for temperatures from minus 10 to minus 50 degrees fahrenheit when used with various insulating layers of the extended cold weather clothing system. For added protection from wind, rain or wet snow, use the provided goretex bivy cover, which snaps to the outermost sleeping bag. Closed cell foam mat – excellent lightweight pad that can be used under a sleeping bag while camping, as an exercise mat, yoga mat, for shooting, or many other activities. Two attached tie straps for easy storage.
Used in very good to excellent condition. May show some signs of previous use and/or wear. Will come in one of two colors.

This bag (the black fits inside the green) is rated for temps down to -10 degrees f. It has a foot box at the bottom that contains double the insulation as the rest of the bag for more warmth. The chest collar prevents air drafts.
Like the green patrol, this bag is also ripstop nylon with polyester fill and is water resistant. By placing the black inside the green, and both inside the gore-tex bivy cover you can weather temperatures down to -30. Woodland camo gore-tex bivy cover.
