USED ONCE – Big Agnes 0F Ultra Light Down Sleeping Bag Pomer Hoit UL (Long). I used to live in the PNW. I bought my dream mountaineering gear, used it once, and then unexpectedly moved to a much warmer place! My loss, your gain. This is a fantastically warm bag. I slept in a tent on the snow (Mt Hood) using this bag and was almost TOO warm temps reached 0 Fahrenheit. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE: This ultralight sleeping bag was designed to be used with a specific air mattress- there is NO down or fill material in a few spots on the back. The theory (which I confirmed on the snow) is that you dont need it there, because your back/butt compress any down underneath your body, rendering that compressed down useless. That compressed down is useless weight if you have a decent air mattress. I never bought or used the specific air mattress – I was just fine on the snow with a therm-a-rest brand backpacking air mattress and this sleeping bag. From Moosejaw link noted above. This is for a used Western Mountaineering Apache Super Gore Dryloft Sleeping Bag 15 Degree 6’6 This is the long version at six foot six inches. I believe this is rated to 15. This bag is not perfect. There are some stains. There is a very tiny rip on the bottom. It is maybe 1 cm. I did my very best to capture all of the issues. Like I said, its not perfect. When used together, the patrol bag and intermediate bags provide extreme cold weather protection in temperatures as low as minus 40° fahrenheit when used with ecwcs. The bivy cover provides protection from wind and water. The sleeping bags are made of ripstop nylon fabric and filament polyester insulation.
