These are brand new without tag, out of the plastic bag. 4-piece modular sleep system mss military sleeping bags w/ goretex bivy ecws new unissued / without tags. Genuine us military issue modular sleep system (mss). National stock number 8465-01-445-6274. These us military-issued sleep systems are brand new. They are mummy-style sleeping bags and include the patrol bag. Intermediate sleeping bag, gore-tex bivy cover, and compression stuff sack. This is a great system! Each bag can be used independently for warmer weather or joined together for colder weather. Use separately as fully functional independent sleeping bags, or combine together for maximum warmth and comfort! When all 3 bags are combined and fastened together, the sleep system is rated to -40°! All components are genuine military issue from government stock. Bivy cover – the bivy cover is made of durable waterproof 3 layer gore-tex fabric. Color – woodland camoflauge. Material – goretex 3 layer waterproof. Nsn number – 8465-01-416-8517. Patrol sleeping bag – rated for temperatures to +30. Reversible double pull slider which allows the top or bottom to aerate. Non-locking slide fastner self repairs if jammed or snagged. Military modular 4 piece sleeping bag system. Includes 2 sleeping bags with gortex bivy cover and stuff sack. Used – very good condition. Only light use. These are very good sets, no holes, no rips, and no large stains on any of the pieces, the bivy cover may have a couple professionally done color matched patches. The green patrol bag may have some thread snags which is common because the velcro straps sometimes grab at a thread or two- doesn’t affect function and it hasn’t created any holes, you can just see an occasional thread popping thru that you can simply leave alone or cut off. The black intermediate bags are excellent condition, without snags. We can see a little paint wear on the zippers and some fuzz on the velcro strips which means they have been used, but very lightly, possibly indoors for training purposes only. All zippers, buttons, velcro, and ties are in perfect working order. They do not smell and there is no evidence they’ve ever been wet. These have been inspected, they are very clean, and are ready to use. The elastic cords in all our bags are checked and certified to be fresh and tight.
