This bag has only been used about 5 times and is in excellent, like new condition. I really don’t want to get rid of it because it’s one of my favorite sleeping bags of all times but I have made the move to quilts and need to downsize. It comes with the original stuff sack and storage bags, plus even all the tags! Also, one of the best features is the pad sleeve… This keeps your sleeping pad underneath you instead of it sliding around. It creates one of the most comfortable experiences (pad not included). This bad has always been stored uncompressed in the storage bag, inside an A/C-controlled pet and smoke free home. It is very clean and has no smells! I take the best care of my equipment! Product Description: Sierra Designs redefined cozy camping with its Backcountry Bed 800 Sleeping Bag so youcan sleep comfortably out in the wilderness whether you’re backpacking or camping out of your car. Free from heavy, extraneous hardware like bulky zippers and draw cords, this intuitive bag features an oval shaped opening with an integrated comforter that helps the bag adapt to variable temperatures. You can tuck the comforter’s sides snugly beneath you and stay warm in temps as low as 30°F, or you can pull the comforter out to stay comfortable during the warmer parts of the night. Its unique mummy design allows you to sleep on your stomach or sides as well as your back, which is excellent because most mummy bags only let you sleep comfortably on your back. Sierra Designs stuffed this bag with lofty 800-fill duck insulation that has an excellent weight-to-warmth ratio so you don’t have much weight on your back when you head out on a backpacking trip, and the insulation has Sierra Design’s proprietary DriDown insulation that’s water-resistant and dries faster than untreated down. Sierra Designs built the Backcountry Bed’s shell out of rip stop for durability and the liner out of taffeta for your comfort. This bag also features insulated pockets for your arms so you never wake up in the middle of the night because your hand slipped out of the bag and is slowly chilling. There’s also an integrated sleeve for your sleeping pad so you never roll off of it during the night and wake up on the rocky ground. This sleeping bag is light and compressible enough for backpacking and warm enough for chilly nights. Climb into the bag via the large oval opening on top; the oversize comforter seals up the opening so you can sleep comfortably no matter your position: back, side or stomach. On warmer nights, flip the comforter outside the sleeping bag and tuck it back for ventilation;insulated hand/arm pockets provide warmth when the comforter is outside the bag. Down is considered the best insulation available but when wet, it quickly loses loft and the ability to keep you warm; 800-fill-power? DriDown is treated to resist moisture. Proprietary process treats each individual duck down plume with a molecular-level polymer so the down stays dry longer, lofts better and dries faster than untreated down. DriDown insulation stays dry 10 times longer, retains 170% more loft when exposed to moisture and dries 33% faster than untreated down. Rip stop polyester exterior endures frequent use in the outdoors; polyester taffeta lining is soft and comfortable next to skin.
