Vintage sleeping bag from the 1950s-60s. Made by Eddie Bauer, a trusted brand in outdoor gear, this sleeping bag is filled with high-quality down insulation. Up for sale is a vintage Eddie Bauer company down sleeping bag. It’s one of the big monsters from days gone by, finish size is 77 by 36, and it has 4.0 lb of goose down in it. The outer shell is nylon from the lining is poplin. Originally it had some type of liner that attached to a bunch of loops sewn in around the edge where that whining would have attached, so if you were inclined you could certainly make something that would connect to them now. It has a removable covering wrap that has two tears that were sewn up. It had been stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home, but it does have a slight smell of mothballs. There are two small stains on one side and some sort of white mark on the opposite side. However, the inside does not seem to have any damage at all.
Bag measurements are approximately 76″ long, 31″ wide at top and 22 wide at bottom. CONDITION: Pre-owned in great condition! There are a couple of light stains and a small snag. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message! Always happy to answer &####128522.
This vintage OVERSIZED 36 wide Eddie Bauer down sleeping bag has been properly stored in a climate controlled building for many decades. This is the extra large bag measuring 36” wide by 81” long. After close inspection, we can find no tears or material flaws to mention other than a partially missing outer tag and the bag is in extraordinarily great condition considering its age. The bag has no funny odors. The tag and storage bag graphics are very legible however, as mentioned above, part of the infill information tag is missing over the years. All in all, this is just a nice vintage cold weather sleeping bag package that has spent most of its time in storage. We would recommend some light cleaning due to dust from long-term storage. The overall condition is EUC excellent used condition.

This is a one owner rare vintage 1960′s Eddie Bauer goose down sleeping bag. Snap in or out cotton flannel liner/sheet/blanket. Comes with everything pictured including the original zipper hood and head cover. Also included is the original canvas bag with leather handle. I did a thorough exam of this bag and accessories and it is in overall excellent condition for its age as it has been safely stored in a cool dry place in my smoke free home. Please note: there was a professional repair done on the front foot portion- nylon replaced the cotton shell at this part. You can see this difference in the green color. Expect some minor staining on a few spots on the liner and on the head cover. A tiny stitch repair on the down hood. I’ve shown examples in the pictures. I saw no tears or rips, and this bag was professionally cleaned a few years ago and has no smells. It has not been used since cleaned. Zipper is heavy duty, works as it should, and opens from outside or inside the bag. The canvas stuff bag shows wear on the outside as you would expect from traveling and camping. Model WPL 9647 – dimensions say 36 x 80 inches – so it’s as long as a queen or king mattress. It has a whopping 5 pounds of premium goose down. It’s a heavy bag, suitable for Fall or Winter camping as well as a great addition to a camper or pop-up. I used it mostly summer camping with my family on an air mattress. It’s hard to capture all the beauty and the minor flaws in my pictures, so please ask questions as needed. Please note pictures that only one carry bag has slight tear and on one bag has 3 little stains. I have not washed or tried removing. I’m guessing it will come out. These mummy bags are in great shape, fully functional. Used only twice in a clean setting.
