HOLUBAR (Boulder, CO) Rare Basecamp Ultimate Double Expedition -40 Goose Down Sleeping Bag. Uncleaned as found with no smells, rips, holes or tears. Does have 5 small clear nylon gear-aid repair patches averaging the size of a dime and a quarter located on the top front side in various places and not all that noticeable that could be sewn if desired. Zippers both work great. Comes with a larger thin blue carry bag. About 7 of loft and weighs 9 lbs. 72″ in length to the neckline and tip to tip at 95″ and 45 wide. Very collectible rare bag from the early 70′s USA made which you might not see again. Some internal baffles could be damaged due to age. I didn’t see much of any dirt or stain markings and in general great shape for the age with lots of life left good for the collection or use. This is stored in a loose fashion as all sleeping bags and tents should. Pre-owned and vintage items will have wear and signs of age. Please view the pictures closely and use photos for condition and description. Please DON’T ASSUME something comes with it. If you do NOT see it in the pictures then its NOT included… My home is a smoke and pet free home but the item could have been found and came from another source. Boulder Designs 15 degrees Gore-tex 700 – 750 cu in fill goose down bags. Gore-Tex outer lining, goose down fill, goose down hood, goose down collar, goose down footbed, bag is nice and wide at the base for those who don’t like tight mummy bags. Nice feature is that the bags have two-way zippers so you can ventilate at the foot box when the nights are on the warm side. One bag has left opening zipper and the other has a right opening zipper (for zipping together or if you have an individual preference for what side you sleep on). To my experience (over 40 years backpacking) these are on the high end of the’comfort’ scale for a backpacking sleeping bag. And the Western Mountaineering bag won’t be GoreTex. If you remotely get what i’m saying then you should know this is a good deal. If you don’t, do some research and you’ll see. Bags are 6 ft length. If you’re taller, this won’t work for you. I have 2 of these sleeping bags. PRICE IS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL BAG. Each one zips up with the other. If you’re a couple and camp together this works nice. (1 left zipper and 1 right zipper). Comes with storage bag and stuff sack. Super nice , high quality down bags that can’t be touched for this price. Look all over the internet and see for yourself. I worked for Patagonia and North Face for years so I know my gear. Especially great if you sleep cold and (can’t say this enough) you don’t like tight mummy bags. These were warm enough for me being at 11,000 ft on Rainier to 17,000 ft in the Peruvian Andes. Of course that’s for me, everyone sleeps differently but regardless, “I” would say they’re rated accordingly. If you get cold easily, you could call it a 25 – 30 degree bag. Price is for “each” bag alone. I know i said this above but… You know how it goes…. Sometimes people don’t pay attention. If you want both, you can make an offer. Camp7 goose down sleeping bag. This bag was manufactured in boulder colorado. There is wear on the zipper track but it doesn’t affect the double zipper. It is a cold weather bag. I used in it 30 degree weather and i couldn’t zip it up because its to warm. This bag doesn’t come with a stuff sack.
