Snugpak – Special Forces Bivvi Bag Waterproof Breathable Olive. Snugpak products are currently in use with the British, US and Australian Armed Forces. Same as the standard Snugpak® Bivvi Bag, but with the added versatility of a half-length zip, wider in the chest, ideally suited for use with the Antarctica RE and the Special Forces System. The Special Forces Bivvi Bag is made of the same Paratex Dry material as our standard Bivvi Bag. Paratex Dry a technical, lightweight, durable, 100% waterproof fabric that is Exceptional breathable to ensure the user is comfortable in all conditions. Special Forces Bivy Description. Paratex Dry is a technical, lightweight, durable, 100% waterproof fabric making an ideal protective shell for any of our sleeping bags, weighing only 420 g it makes an ideal Emergency Refuge. Its small volume allows you to pack it’just in case’. The Paratex Dry used in the Snugpak Special Forces Bivy is a 100% waterproof fabric with a hydrostatic head in excess of 5000 mm. Closely constructed fabric with a ripstop construction. Teamed with a Hydrophilic Polyurethane (PU) which transfers water vapor chemically from the inside to the outside (due to the temperature differential between the inside of the product and out). Easy to wash and care for; Comes with its own Nylon Stuff Sack. 100% Waterproof with a Hydro Static Head in Excess of 5000 mm. Soft to the touch. Outer Fabric treated with a Durable Water Repellant. Outer Fabric: Paratex Dry. Weight: 420 grams (14.8151 Ounces). Pack Size: L 120 x D 75 mm. Nylon Stuff Sack, Coyote. It is important to note that as this Bivy has a solid coating, air cannot pass so care should be taken not to completely seal any Bivvi Bag system, to prevent suffocation.
