Marmot Plasma 40 degree sleeping bag with original stuff sack and tags. I bought this and only used it for a few nights at Joshua Tree car camping and used an inner bag liner to keep it nice and clean! It’s in excellent condition — of course no tears or loss of down and it’s from a smoke free home. It’s been stored in a large cotton storage bag (so not to compress the down) in my closet. I love this bag but won’t use it again. It comes with 875+ down fill with water resistant Down Defender treatment. I feel it is good down to at least 30 degrees but that is personal preference. Hard to find another one of these limited run edition, one of Marmot’s best and highest end bags. Weighing just over a pound, the high-performance Marmot Plasma 40 Degree down sleeping bag is ideal for warm weather backpacking. Premium 875+ fill power goose down insulation, Insotect Flow technology and vertical baffling create an extremely lightweight, compressible package for backcountry adventure. The Plasma 40 Degree is insulated with certified 875+ fill power goose down. Fill power measures the loft or “fluffiness” of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 875+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, down fibers have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet; this is less of a problem in the Plasma 40 Degree, though, since the down in this bag is protected with Marmots Down Defender water repellent treatment that allows the down to stay drier 10 times longer than untreated down in damp conditions. Down Defender down also Maintains 150% more loft and dries 30% faster than untreated down. Insotect Flow construction is used in the Plasma 40 Degree sleeping bag to provide better thermal value and increased weight reduction. Strategically placed baffles eliminate lateral and vertical down shifting by using vertical chambers with flow gates to control the position and density of the down insulation. This technology also enables the user to manually shift the down to preferred locations, customizing the sleeping system to each individual. Wrap-around foot box construction incorporates the flow design with Marmot’s classic, trapezoidal shape for increased warmth and a comfortable fit. Despite its lightweight construction, the Plasma 40 Degree makes no sacrifice with regard to performance and features. A contoured, ergonomic hood, insulated draft tube, Velcro-free face muff and insulated collar around the neck area seal out cool air and feel soft and comfortable against your skin. Two-way zipper sliders offer venting options and a zipper garage helps to avoid irritating and damaging snags. The Marmot Plasma 40 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6′ 0).
