Marmot Mountain Works Pocket Gopher Long Down Sleeping Bag Gore-tex Shell New. This is a new and never used bag it was a backup bag. We used these on Denali; excellent bag for +20 to -20 degrees. Complete Gore-Tex shell in perfect condition. Do not believe the internet chatter as to how Gore-Tex bags trap condensation: after 30 days on Denali these bags were dry and weighed the same as before the expedition. Marmot Mountain Works bags are the best constructed bags I know of far more durable than Western Mountaineering bags! My 1980s Marmot bags are still in use; my Western Mountaineering bags all have torn baffles. This is truly a life-long bag. The Gore-Tex shell is water resistant. This bag was not seam sealed. Thank goodness, because the sealer becomes a crusty mess over time. Marmot knew how to add a bit of pure luxury on the trail with the luscious sapphire blue lining fabric. Its amazingly soft to the touch and very comfy. Youll have a hard time leaving the comfort of this bag in the morning! Please do see the picture of the Gore-Tex patch on the back of the bag. The patch is well done and completely retains full function of the shell. This bag might be a bit of history, but it is also still fully functional and light in the pack. We also throw in a new fleece balaclava, new Neoprene facemask, new disposable Mylar blanket and some other goodies we like to have with us in very cold weather. NO RESERVE – This is from my Marmot “Gopher” goose down Gore-Tex sleeping bag that I bought back in the early 1990′s. I think the model name was the “Gopher GTX”, or something like that. It’s a minus 20 degree bag, and crazy warm. It has about 10″ of down loft, measures about 92″ long and 30 wide, right-hand zip. Full draft tube, double draft collar, cinch cords around the top, hang loops on the bottom. Has a few black paint spots on the top, you can see the spots in the pictures. The bag is very clean and doesn’t not need to be cleaned. The seams have been treated with seam sealer, and you can see the seam sealer in the pictures. The bag is used but stored correctly, has been stored laid flat in a dry gear room. This was the top-flight Gore-Tex bag when I bought it, but I just don’t need it anymore………………..
