Used in extremism cold weather and woke up like the cold wasn’t their. Good cold weather bag. Good bag for cold weather. Too warm at freezing or just below freezing–save this bag for the colder campouts. I’m 6’2 and this bag was just long enough–my feet pushed up against the end. A few more inches or a little more height at the toe area would have been nice. This bag is a bit wider than my 0 degree bag (this one is 40″, the other is 35″). There is an effective drawstring at the chest and hood to close it up, but closing it up caused my feet to push into the end of the bag because the top of the bag pushes into my shoulders. Workmanship there were a few pieces of insulation floating loose when I opened the package. The stuff sack is a joke-it opens up on three sides and is not a great design. You can’t stuff the bag in it and can’t fit the rolled bag in it. HE SAYS THAT IT IS SO WARM THAT HE COMES OUT OF THE COVERS PERIODCALLY AT NIGHT. VERY SOFT, , APPEARANCE, DURABLE, CANVAS. Good bag , comfortable, warm, plenty of room to stretch the legs! At 35-40 degrees I found myself with my legs outside of the bag! That, s what I was looking for though. The bag is also WARM… So, you wont have any problems getting out of the cold. It doesn’t have a zippered foot area (something I like) but the side zipper has two zips, so you can get some ventilation near your feet. The material inside the bag is very soft and comfortable. The bag is great, it kept my wife and I very warm in the 30 degree West Virginia cold. It was roomy, soft and durable. We look forward to many years of use. Large and warm, but very smelly. I had a chance to use this bag this past weekend in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is very warm but I kept my camper at 55 degrees. I have no doubt I would stay very warm and much lower temps. The fill is very lofty and this makes for a very compfortable and warm bag. The only complaint I have is the incredible chemical smell it has. The smell filled the entire 2 upper floors of my house within minutes of opening the bag. I left bag unzipped and open lying on the floor of one room for a week before putting it in my camper. It still smells bad. While camping and sleeping in it I kept waking up because the chemical smell was irratating my sinuses and throat. Once out of the bag my clothes then reek of this smell. So, I’m guessing it’s from the dyes used in the canvas cover. This chemical, whatever it is, kind of worries me as this bag is made in China and they are not exactly known for making safe products. Anyway I’d be interested if other buyers experience this with the cavas bags. I intend to call the company and ask about this issue. I would not by another due to this issue. He loved it so much that we now have “camp outs” on the family room floor to watch movies! It is great for an adventurous couple or even a cozy movie night couple! Grizzly 2-person Sleeping Bag. The zippers can be a bit of a pain; go slow with them because they can be a little tricky. Don’t lose the storage bag that this sleeper comes with, because you’ll need it to store and travel with this beast. We even slept in it ON the bed at home because it is so soft and warm. I used this bag for the first time the last weekend for camping. The first night, I slept with my socks and jackets as I used to do with my old sleeping bags.
