Mountain Hardware’s -40 F/C Artic expedition, Q. Shield® DOWN 800-fill bag designed for extreme conditions. Designed for the most extreme conditions, this expedition style bag can function as both bag and bivy. A Coinduit SL shell and Q. Shield® DOWN insulation prevent exterior moisture penetration and resist down de-lofting from body moisture. Waterproof construction with welded seams and hidden baffle construction enhance loft and keep you dry. Q Shield 800 fill down has an advanced treatment applied that resists heat robbing moisture and retains maximum loft in damp conditions. Conduit SL shell is waterproof, breathable, windproof, durable and lightweight. Hidden baffle construction preserves waterproofness and durability. Laminated, double external zipper flaps keep water out. 5 baffle spacing keeps down carefully controlled for even, predictable loft. Six-chamber hood design maintains even loft around head for consistent warmth. Ergonomic draft collar blocks the escape of heated air from inside the bag. The two-piece collar drapes naturally over neck and shoulders creating a soft comfortable seal. Two draw cords can snug down as needed to secure the collar. Down-filled face gasket comfortably blocks drafts at the hood opening. Only a slight tightening of the draw cord is required to seal in warmth. Two small pockets above collar provide storage for small items. Double draft tubes along zipper prevent cold spots. Comfort footbox follows natural foot position for maximum warmth and comfort. Mountain Hardware Seti SL -35 F Down Sleeping bag Condition is Used. 44oz of 775 down fill. This bag will loft to over 13 at the feet and chest and 10+ through the body. Has an expandable zippered pleat by the draft tube that will give you approximately 8 more circumference in warmer temps. By warmer I mean like -5 and above. This bag is warmer and has more loft than my WM Cypress, however the Cypress compresses a little smaller and is about 6oz lighter due to its 850 FP. If youre a cold sleeper or like venturing into extreme temps, this is probably one of the warmest and definitely the most roomiest bags Ive ever owned. This bag was always used with a silk liner and stored uncompressed. These bags are becoming rarer to find and this one is in perfect shape. Included are the storage bag and stuff sack.
