The Icefall is Robens most technical synthetic sleeping bag. There are several sleeping bags of various weights in the Icefall range. This one is the Icefall IV, a 4 season bag with a comfort range down to -11 degrees for a woman or -18 for a man. All of the Icefall sleeping bags utilise a MicroThermo High Loft filling which combines micro fibre and three denier fibre. The micro fibre compresses really well whilst the three denier fibre provides great loft. It is a bonded fibre providing greater stability and durability than the fibres commonly used in sleeping bags meaning that your sleeping bag will serve you better for longer. The shell material used is a lightweight 15 denier ripstop nylon which is very compressable. The bag is shaped to provide enough space in the vital areas around the arms and elbow whilst remaining snug in other areas to reduce heat loss. The narrowest area is around the ankles but the foot area is more generous for added comfort with extra insulation to ensure your feet are kept warm. Great care has been taken in the design of the hood area. There is an insulated baffle around the hood area to ensure comfort even when the cord is pulled snugly around the head and face. The draw cord is made up of two cords of different textures to enable the user to easily determine which cord to pull to tighten and release – even when it is too dark to see clearly. Inside the bag is a well contoured thermo-collar which fits nicely around the neck to reduce heat loss from the body. Size: 210 x 80 x 50 cm (LxWxW). Body length: 190 cm. Western Mountaineering Hi Light 35 degree ultralight down sleeping bag At 16 ounces this is THE great light backpacking sleeping bag. This is a 3/4 length right zip standard 6′ bag. With layering I have been comfortable down to 20 degrees. There is a dime size repair seen in the fourth middle panel on the top of the bag. There is a slight darkening around the head area. A professional cleaning would eliminate it and bring even more loft to the down. Overall very good condition. The invoice is from last year for a complimentary replacement of the neck cord.
