Marmot Pinnacle 15 Degree Left Zip Long. I know a lot, too much about sleeping bags so here it is. This was part of marmots mountaineering bags a few years back. It is the best bag they have made imo and Ive tried many. This has much more down than a helium and only weights 4 oz more. The girth at the shoulder is 64 inches which is nice and wide, can be layered with parkas or even another lighter bag in deep winter conditions. The shell has a water proof coating. The seams are not taped. But against rent wall condensation or even snow caves you are good. Foot box has twice the loft as the rest of the bag. Awesome feature that keeps your feet warm in winter. So it is warmer than the helium. I just washed this with grangers today do its nice and clean and lofty. 800 fill goose down not duck down. Treated with Nike ax down proof. Supposedly adds 10 degrees. I never used the liner but it always rode in the stuffsack with the bag. These are MADE BETTER than any marmot big Agnes or Nemo product out today. Everyone is using duck down now and nobody has a foot box or warm hood like this bag. Cant find the stuff sack for the bag or liner. Id recommend a sea to summit compression sack anyway to take advantage of the 800 fill down. Any questions just ask. But if you know sleeping bags you already know about this one for winter. MARMOT PHASE 20F 850FP GOOSE DOWN SLEEPING BAG – REGULAR LEFT ZIP (NWT). I bought one of these a few years ago and have slept in it about a dozen nights. Ive found it to be a superb sleeping bag, very comfortable and just enough room, but not enough to have cold spots. Im 5-11 and 170 pounds. And I also found that I could sleep comfortably in it when the temp went a little below 20F, which is unusual. Im often not warm enough in a 20F rated bag when the temp approaches 20F. Also, this bag is long enough to easily fit a person who is 6 feet tall, which is not always the case with a regular length bag. You may find reviews of this bag where they complain about the zipper. Ive found that if I use my left hand and hold the pull tab with my fingers and put my thumb on the inside of the sleeping bag, I can pull the zipper up with no problem. And so can you with a minutes practice. Btw, the zipper is not full length, but is close to it, maybe 7/8 length. The bag is brand new with tags and has never had a person in it. The bag weighs 1 pound, 8.5 ounces on my digital scale, which is obscenely light for a true 20F bag. Sale includes the original storage sack and stuff sack. Note: I never use a stuff sack, just put a sleeping bag directly in my pack. Easier on the bag, IMO, and quicker, too. Western Mountaineering Alpinlite 20F Red 6′, Left Zip. This has been modified with the hood removed. The original owner had the hood removed because he (and I) done like the head cinched up in a mummy hood. It still has the draft collar so it is like the best of both a quilt and a sleeping bag. It was sent to Western Mountaineering to have additional down added. They added approximately 5 ounces of new down. Total weight with included Zpacks cuben fiber stuff sack is 39 ounces. Rab now use Hydrophobic Down in all their sleeping bags, this flurocarbon free treatment was developed in conjunction with Nikwax and although Hydrophobic Down is not waterproof it dries much faster, absorbs less water and retains loft far better than untreated down. This lightly used three plus season sleeping bag is perfect, with no signs of use at all, and has only been slept in for a handful of nights. The bag weighs less than one pound 13 ounces on my digital scale. The bag is not roomy, but does have enough room to be comfortable, even when wearing a light insulated layer in addition to long johns. I slept in this bag when the temp dropped into the high teens and was comfortable throughout the night, so it is a solid 20F bag.
