You are looking at a gently used Marmot Aiguille sleeping bag made with Gore Dry Loft membrane for humid or wet camping conditions. It has served me well since I bought it back in the mid 90′s but time to let go. Any hard adventures I engage in these days are off the couch and hardly ever entail an overnight suffer-fest. Hard to capture true color with photos. Beautiful purple bordering on a dark lilac (not grape). Teal accents including stiffened zipper draft tube, and black back side. I washed it last year with Nikwax down wash, loft is still good, but keep in mind this is almost a thirty year old bag so expect some signs of wear. Another cycle with down soap would prob restore more of the original loft. I have always stored this bag in its larger sack so it has not been compressed. Vintage REI “Alaskan” Model, Down Filled, Winter Sleeping Bag. One Owner (me), used exclusively in the Colorado mountains. Got this as a graduation present in 1985 (guess I’m vintage too). This bag is WARM! Most of my nights using this I slept on a pad with this as a cover. Used on weekend backpacking and ski trips for about 10 years, then has mostly resided in the large storage bag in a dry, Colorado closet. Down remains light and lofty. Dry Colorado means no mustiness is present. Minimal if any staining. Comes from a smoke-free environment. 2 pounds 3 oz fill weight (goose down) according to the tag. Finished size is 33×92 inches. Model name is “Alaskan” it’s warm! Large storage bag and stuff sack included. Total bag and stuff sack weight 5lbs.
