Ray Mears 4-Season Golden Eagle Sleeping Bag – Nanok of Norway version. Ray Mears Golden Eagle, 4-season sleeping bag. I have genuinely only used this bag once and it was used with a sleeping bag liner and a hat, inside a clean tent, so as good as new really. It has been stored un-compressed, in a large fabric drawcord bag, to avoid damaging the fill material. This was an original model Golden Eagle, made by Nanok of Norway. The current version is made in Poland, probably to save on manufacturing costs. Heres what they say about the current version on the Ray Mears website. I believe this would similarly describe the bag I have, but cannot say for certain, as I dont have the original spec, but being made by Nanok, it was probably even better.
