Many people enjoy sleeping with their feet uncovered. With the Altai, you can do just that. You can completely unravel it and use it as a blanket if need be. It handles moisture remarkably well. The Peregrine is a wider width than the standard sized bags from FF allowing to wear extra clothing and push the sleeping temperature down further: I slept in -40F temps on Denali using this bag and extra clothing. Left hand double zipper (can open at footbox if too hot). Excellent bag in excellent condition. My apologies all; I miscommunicated the sizing/length. Very sorry about that. Feathered friends Peregrine EX -25 Long. This bag is amazing and insanely warm… I used it 2 nights in Utah in a tent. I dont smoke, I dont have pets, and I dont wear any synthetic fragrances or laundry soap in my clothes… In other words, its very clean and has no smells. I also wore base layer wool when I was in it. Its been stored in its large storage bag and has full loft. It has 0 flaws, no tears, no stains, no anything! Its a size XL and brand new. So Im taking a loss on something Ive hardly used. If you want to be warm no matter what, want a beautiful color bag, want a deal off the price of new but want a like new bag, want a tough and waterproof shell…. This bag is it! A top of the line down sleeping bag typically used by mountain climbers. Good to -25 degrees. Climbers have used this type of bag to climb Mt. Denali or Mt Everest (when wearing down gear inside it). Only used 3 times–excellent condition, no marks. Used in -20 degree weather and was comfortable. Made in the USA, high quality down bag. Made with eVent waterproof and breathable shell. Essentially new, only used twice at -40F, extremely warm. Regular length, weight approximately 3.5pounds. Mummy style but the Peregrine is made with extra width for heavier layering of clothes or storage of gear/liquids you dont want to freeze overnight. If you need a bag this warm, please read the reviews at Feathered Friends. This is an extreme conditions technical bag, that with layering easily kept me warm well below the rated temps. Great survival bag or for those needing/wanting to be warmer in extreme environments or survival situations. Have not used since. It’s filled with 850 fill goose down with 3 extra ounces of down for even more warmth. Left zip, regular length. Rated to -25 but more like -40 with the added 3 ounces of extra down. Very clean and odor free. Only thoroughly wiped down after my expedition to Denali. Always stored inside – never stored in a compressed stuff sack, except for the 3 weeks I used it. No holes, stains, rips or tears. However, the warning tag is falling off. Zippers in great shape. Comes included with the original TWO storage sacks. One smaller, one larger. (See photos) – The best, warmest and coziest sleeping bag I have ever used.
