3 piece acu/ucp modular sleep system. Includes goretex bivy, patrol bag and intermediate bag. Salty/well used condition components will look like they’ve been used hard and which show typical issues associated with being used heavily. The bivy covers will have seam delamination or have dirt from being laid on the ground but overall will be in a good condition, the sleeping bags themselves get worn labels, dirt on the fabric or staining. I judge the bags by label condition and if there’s grime around the face hole and these bags pass the test for being kinda grimey. I’ve found that if you get some stain pretreater and soak the head of the sleeping bag in a little bit of water mixed with the stain fighter, you can ring a lot of the dirt out of the fabric, follow that with a wash cycle and hang dry and some of these bags really clean up. Sometimes a dirt bag joe encrusted the deepest afghan dust and suffering into these bags that it takes a couple treatments. What I’m saying is these bags aren’t here for your “girlfriend” to use on a camping trip. For when you’re driving too fast on a icey logging road and you spend a surprise night stuck in a ditch 4 or 5 miles away from making good decisions. Think smarter gentlemen, be prepared.

It’s like a’military surplus new’ – these bags go through the demill process which is a lot of transferring between storage boxes before they get to the end user so sometimes they get a couple marks on them but I judge the bags by crisp labels and if there’s grime around the face hole and these bags pass the test for being’mint.

USGI M81 Woodland camouflage modular sleep system (MSS) sleeping bag. 4 piece sleeping bag system with storage compression sack, woodland camouflage Gore-Tex bivy cover, lightweight “patrol” sleeping bag and heavier intermediate bag. Sleeping bag is fair/decent condition, but does show signs of wear from prior service use. Some snags/tears in the material of both bags were found during my inspection (see pictures). The zippers and button snaps on the bivy cover, green bag, and black bag are functional. Some light tarnish is present on some of the button snaps.
