Two (2) Pieces Modular Sleeping Bag, Intermediate Cold, & Patrol by Tennier, Excellent Condition, US Army. Excellent Condition, may have some writing or spot but is in Excellent Condition. Some may have small stains. The label of the sleeping bag may have a name or number marked. It was obtained via surplus and will show signs of long term storage. Why are there different NSN Options? Over the years, different government contractors have produced these items under different NSN numbers. Rest assured these are all the exact same product, they just have different part numbers. The Improved Modular Sleep System (IMSS) Intermediate Sleeping Bag is the perfect sleeping bag for scouting, camping, or just being prepared. This heavyweight, durable, mummy style sleeping bag is ideal for cold to freezing weather. The bags snap together making a system that will keep you warm when the temperature drops below -10°F. The Intermediate Bag alone is heavy weight bag and excellent for use during cold weather. The durable rip-stop nylon shell and continuous filament polyester insulation is constructed to withstand the rigors of combat. The mummy design helps keep you warm and the generous “boot box” at the bottom is designed to allow the user to keep his or her boots on, either for added warmth or in case a quick exit is needed. Durable YKK zippers are used on either end of the bag allowing wearers to customize the amount of ventilation. Zippers are dual sided and can be easily accessed from the inside. Free from cold spots. Insulation does not migrate in the bag. Anatomically designed foot box contains twice the insulation as the bag. Sewn-in, quilted chest collar prevents air drafts up and down through the hood. Army Modular Sleeping systems which is one of the best found anywhere in the world and it’s rated to up to -50 degrees!! Army Modular Sleeping System is constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather. It includes a green patrol bag, the black intermediate cold weather bag, a woodland camo bivy cover, and a stuff sack. These two mummy style sleeping bags can be used independently or together in colder environments. The patrol bag is rated at +30 degrees, the black intermediate cold weather bag is rated to -10 degrees and both bags can be used with the vapor permeable bivy cover. When all three components are used together (patrol bag, cold weather bag and bivy cover,) it is rated at -10 degrees and if combined with various insulating layers of the extended cold weather clothing system, it is rated to -50 degrees.
