The North Face “Snowshoe” Polarguard Delta Sleeping Bag. Includes mesh storage bag and compression stuff sack. Note that this is an older model. It was a gift to my son when he was in scouts. We live in Texas and it just doesn’t get cold enough for a 0° bag. And my son was never “regular length”. He wore out a couple of long 30° bags but I don’t think he spent a single night in this one. The tag says it was made in 2003. Not sure how it was stored before we received it in 2012, but it has lived in its mesh storage bag in a indoor closet with other backpacking gear since then. It needs to get out and see the world. The bag has some cool features – draft collar, mesh pocket for a watch? , pillow pocket on the bottom under the head, tabs on the sides for mattress straps, tabs on the foot for hanging. Weight is 4 lb, 6 oz by my scale. The stuff sack is 9.5″x16″ long (before tightening the compression straps). The storage bag is 16″x24″ long. Good luck and thanks for looking. ITEM: GoLite Fur 1 Sleep System + aftermarket stuff sack. Bag still has tags attached. I never attempted to wash the bag and it hasn’t been used. It is in this exact same condition as when I bought it. That’s where its been all these years. It has not been used so the bag loft and foam condition is good. GoLite Fur 1 Sleep System Own a piece of VINTAGE ultralight backpacking and camping history… You’d be lucky to even find another one of these for sale anywhere in the US… And to find one in this condition, unused is incredibly RARE. GoLite rose to fame on the tails of Ray Jardine’s popularity with the book “Beyond Backpacking” which is still a GREAT read… Highly recommended and their specialty was ULTRA lightweight gear and clothing to aid backpackers in covering more miles per day or to simply enjoy the scenery a bit more without being bogged down by weight. I bought this in prep for an ultra-fast completion of the John Muir Trail which never happened due to a knee injury during training. I guess I’m finally ready to let go of that dream… Included in this package are the following: 1. GoLite Fur 1 (purple) sleeping quilt. It comes with velcro attachments to connect it directly to the sleep pad. Closed cell foam with velcro attachments to accept connection to the GoLite Fur 1 sleep quilt. GoLite Sleep System straps. These can be used to velcro to the sleep quilt and wrapped around an alternative sleep pad if you prefer to use a different variety like Thermarest.
