This item is Military Surplus and may have size label on wet weather bag, light dust/soil from long-term storage wear however, it will not affect the intended use. This is a genuine USMC improved bivy cover which is part of the US Marine Corps Three Season Sleep System (3S). It is designed to cover the other sleeping bags in the system, making them waterproof and highly insulated. It is 18% lighter and provides improved comfort, protection and volume. It allows a Marine to be totally encapsulated under extreme weather conditions. The material is a microporous laminated membrane with highly water repellant exterior. An integrated flexible wire allows the Bivy to stand off from the face and a bug proof screen windo can be fully or partially opened. In warmer weather, this bivy cover can be used as a rain shelter and features a mesh above the head allowing the user to see out of the bag. The cover is 88 long and can be used with your own sleeping bags – it does not require the other bags in the system. The USMC Three-Season Sleeping Bag was designed to be a lightweight compatible military sleeping bag for temperatures above 20°F. The Inner Bag comes in two sizes Regular with the inside coloring is Coyote Brown and Long with its inside coloring, Foliage Gray.
