Up for sale is a Stephenson’s Warmlite 7 Feet Triple Layers Down Filled Sleeping Bag. Length: 7 feet / 84 inches. Largest width: 35 inches. Smallest width: 28 inches. Down-filled layers with zippers. Down filled hood to keep your head warm. Back of bag has a zip compartment. The sleeping bag is in very good condition with some wear from prior use. The original owner was very meticulous about how the sleeping bag was stored and handled. There are no rips or tear. The zippers are in good condition. Handmade Triple Layer sleeping bag from Stephenson’s Warmlite, designed to keep you warm and comfortable in a great variety of temperatures. Features an incorporated pad(foam) system and a couple layers to regulate your comfort. No stuff sack is included. Not sure of the size as the tag is hard to read. The length of the internal sleeping pad is about 56 with an additional 8 inches for the pillow portion. The bag extends past the pad about 7 inches on the bottom and the top for a total length of about 78 inches. The width of the bag is about 22 inches at the feet to about 28 inches wide at the shoulders. It is about 6 inches thick. I still have not figured out all the ways to zip and configure the bag, but it is versatile and should keep you plenty warm in the most severe cold. Doing that is against U. Stephenson’s Warmlite Triple bag. Included is a waterproof liner that zips over the top. The bag is in great shape. The main stuff sack that doubles as an inflator for the DAM (down filled air mattress) probably doesn’t seal air anymore and I’d use one of the small, AA battery operated inflators instead (not included). Includes two stuff sacks. One is for the bag itself and I believe the other is for the DAM. It fits someone up to 6’4. The first owner bought it new in the 1980s, used it several times, and stored it uncompressed in a dry environment. I’ve also stored it uncompressed in a dry environment. I then used the bag 2 nights camping, at which point I had to accept that it’s just too big for me. If it were my size I’d keep it. It’s very comfortable and unrestrictive and with the two tops one gets amazing temperature range coverage. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them. At the time this was quite a cutting edge design. See their website for complete information about this sleeping bag: google Stephenson’s Warmlite. They are still being made. This bag measures 56 in. In girth, and 76 in. And it still fits great- in 1976 I weighed about 175lbs. Today about 205 lbs- getting old sucks. Used in late 1970′s through late 1980′s backpacking. Has been stored in multiple burlap bags, and then the past couple of years in a large cotton laundry type bag in a walk in closet. Still in great shape. There are some mildew stains on the bottom; see picture 7. All zippers work great. It has an integral foam pad. Warmlite still makes a down filled mattress which was an option at the time- which would make the bag lighter and smaller to pack. It just weighed in at 7.5 lbs. The nylon is vapor barrier, meaning waterproof coating- the inside silver lining is a little stiff, but still smooth. Stuff bag shows some miles, but is still sound. This bag was a real comfort when trapped in a whiteout at Edmonds Col in the White Mtn. S of New Hampshire in 1979. Study pictures, ask questions.
