Big Agnes Roxy Ann 15F (-9C) Sleeping Bag Regular (Right Zip) 650 DownTek Fill

Designed for women who are not willing to compromise on comfort or performance, this generous 3-season sleeping bag offers plenty of room so you can settle into that perfect sleeping position. 650-fill-power DownTek down insulation repels water and maintains loft, even when exposed to moisture. Contour fit allows down insulation to drape comfortably, and offers more range of motion inside the bag. Insotect Flow construction uses internal gates to keep the down from shifting. Ripstop nylon shell with a durable water repellent finish sheds water; soft, breathable nylon lining. Underside insulation has been eliminated and replaced with a sleeve for a 20 in. Wide rectangular pad (pad not included). Continuous draft wedge insulates the connection between the bag and pad to prevent cold air from entering. Draft tube behind zipper and down-filled draft collar prevent warm air from escaping and cold air from entering. Ergonomic hood design fits comfortably around face. Liner loops keep sleeping bag liner (not included) from shifting and twisting. Exterior loops for hang-drying or storage. Mesh storage sack and nylon stuff sack included. Fits up to in. 8 x 17.5 inches. What do you think of this product? I LOVE this bag. I bought this bag because I’m a side sleeper who likes to flip/flop between sides many times during the night, and I was concerned that a traditional mummy bag would be too restrictive. The Roxy Ann solves this problem perfectly! I have plenty of room to move around at night. I also love the integrated pad sleeve. So far, I’ve slept in this bag down to the high 30s, with no problem. The petite size is perfect for me – I’m 5’0. My boyfriend is 5’4″, also bought this bag, and loves it there are no “short size bags for men on the market – so why should he have to carry an extra 8 inches of bag he’s not going to use? All in all, this bag is worth every penny. Comfortably warm with lots of room. For anyone who feels too confined by a traditional “mummy” bag, this is wonderful and comfortable sleeping bag. There is plenty of room to sleep on your side, turn around, and move as needed. It works really well with the Big Agnes Q-core insulated pad. I bought this bag a few weeks ago, and just got back from my first backpacking trip with it. I was on Isle Royale, and the temps at night dipped into the low 40′s. This bag kept me toasty to the point of not having to layer up. My friends, who were in outdated bags with poor insulation, were jealous! I like that the sleeve on the back keeps me from being able to roll off my pad, however my foam pad has textured ridges on it and without any insulation in the back of the bag, these were super uncomfortable. I’m 5’1, so I bought the petite and it fits me perfect. It was nice to have a bag that didn’t have extra length, and I think it kept me way warmer! Anyone who is a few inches taller, however, should stay away from the petite. It’s pretty short! Comfiest, lightest thing ever. If I could give this sleeping bag 4.5 stars, I would. I found the’13 (I think) model online for cheap, and love it. When considering this bag you should know there is no insulation on the bottom–basically you stick your sleeping pad inside the back sleeve, and you’re good. In this way, Big Agnes cuts down the weight, since they assume lying on the down will crush it and minimize any insulation it would have given your bottom, anyway. The only concern I have with this is when the temperatures drop, whether heat leakage will be a problem–there is a tiny space between the down-insulated portion and my (properly sized) sleeping pad. However, the fit of the bag is perfect! Roomy enough to squirm around in, but also not so roomy as to compromise warmth. It is notable that the measurements on the new model are slightly narrower throughout the bag. I got the petite size, and it fits me just right (I’m 5’2). My 5’7 friend had a hard time fitting in there, but being short has its perks!
