MARMOT PENGUIN -40° DOWN SLEEPING BAG, LONG. Vintage Marmot Penguin sleeping bag. 800 fill down rated to 40 below. This sleeping bag is 30+ years old, but in great shape. Not used much because it is so warm. Used a couple of times on Denali and some winter climbs in the Cascades (overkill), and that is it. Too warm for most places. The shell is Gore-tex and the 800 fill is the minimum according to Marmot. This is a great cold weather sleeping bag. The bag is a long (storage in the foot box is great for drying boot liners) Has one small repair about mid-way on the lower side near the zipper (see photos). Comes with storage bag, but no stuff sack. The seams will need to be re-sealed to maintain the waterproofness. Black exterior makes for fast drying in the sun when needed. Long with LH zip Fit Length: approx. Black exterior, red interior. YKK with double zip. Down filled draft tube for protection from drafts entering the zipper area; down filled collar baffle with adjustable collar cord; baffled hood with adjustable hood cord; dual sliding zippers; with Marmot large cotton storage sack.
