When the temperature drops, a draw cord can be cinched tight to create a foot pocket and a strap and press-stud system used to secure your mat to the quilt, keeping heat loss to a minimum. To reduce weight and keep packed size to the absolute minimum, Sea to Summit® used the lightest down proof 10D shell and 7D lining fabrics and upgraded the insulation to the 850+ Loft Premium Goose ULTRA-DRY DownT. Not only is this down super warm and compressible, it works to prevent moisture and inclement weather having a negative effect on the loft of the quilt. The Nano-thin treatment vastly improves our downs reaction to water without effecting its weight or loft performance. ULTRA-DRY Down retains over 60% more loft and absorbs 30% less moisture when compared with untreated down. Sea to Summit sleeping bags dry out 60% faster than bags with untreated down. The Nano-level treatment also inhibits bacterial and microbial growth, which makes Sea to Summit sleeping bags more hygienic and improves their lifespan.
