Explanation of US MOLLE II Carrying equipment. MOLLE II is an integrated, modular load-carrying system designed to enhance the capability and lethality of the modern Soldier. MOLLE II is designed to have different configurations that allow Soldiers to tailor their equipment to meet specific mission needs. The MOLLE II system is configured from the following items: Large Field Pack with an external frame and webbing to accommodate added components(The Listing). Medium Field Pack with an external frame and webbing to accommodate added components(The listing). The Fighting Load Carrier (FLC) with webbing; Tactical Assault Pack (TAP), with harness and webbing and pouches; Waist Pack; Assault Pack; compatible pouches and pockets; Hydration System; and additional items to assist in meeting mission requirements. The MOLLE II is made from water- repellent multicam camouflage color fabrics and composites that are military-specified. The Medium Pack has numerous internal and external compartments. These compartments allow the soldiers to organize their equipment. The Medium Pack has a top carrying handle with three hook-and-loop ports designed to allow soldier to route antenna(es), handsets, and to route their hydration system to outside of pack. Tactical External Polymer Frame Series. The frame isolate the pack and body’s back, which not only help users feel more comfortable with heave loading, but also reserve sientific space for other MOLLE equipment such FLC, hydration system. It is easy and quick to assemble. The shoulder strap suspension of the frame is adjusted by securing the vertical strap and the 2-inch webbing around the medium frame, in the appropriate location, using the slide buckle. Quickly Donned and Doffed. When in use, the entire system or individual components will not impede proper head rotation of the user while standing or in prone position, or carrying and shouldering of equipment in all positions. The repair kit (Buckle Set) comes with each MOLLE II set and is used for quick, common field repairs that can be done by the individual Soldier without any special skills or equipment. In September 2009, the soldier’s Requirements Division of the US Army Infantry Center expressed a need for a rucksack that could accommodate a typical 24-72 hour mission. The existing Large Rucksack was considered too large and the Assault Pack was too small. The MOLLE Medium Rucksack is developed to fill this capability gap.
