Military Modular 4 piece Sleeping Bag System XLONG – very rare extra long size If you are six feet or taller, these xlong models are worth every penny. Includes 2 Sleeping Bags with GORTEX Bivy Cover and stuff sack. VERY GOOD CONDITION – minor signs of use- no holes/no tears – see condition notes below. Year Round 4 pc Modular Sleep System. Made in the USA! Official USA Military Army Surplus. VERY GOOD CONDITION – All four pieces in very clean very good condition. Only light sign of previous indoor use. Two professionally done patches – Absolutely no holes, no tears – all snaps, zippers/flaps in perfect working order. The green patrol has some snagging- it is common for the velro straps or someone’s toe nails etc to occasionally catch the rip stop nylon shell which pulls at a thread- they don’t affect function and don’t form any holes. There was a tiny tear in the bottom of the nylon shell of the black intermediate bag and my wife repaired it with a patch as shown in the last picture. The bivy cover also has one 2 inch by 2 inch goretex patch. The xlong model is about a foot or so longer than the regular length- and provides adequate length inside the bags for individuals up to 6′ 6 tall or perhaps even a few inches more depending on how much head room you like. It also provides a couple inches of extra width inside – but it’s primarily the length that makes these xlong models so nice. This package Includes ALL 4 pieces: (XLONG MODEL). US Military Modular Sleep System. This is a genuine US Army surplus Modular Sleep System, made in the USA by Tennier Industries. Each sleeping bag system contains 4 components, described in detail below: the patrol sleeping, the intermediate cold weather sleeping bag, the bivy cover, and compression stuff sack. The sleeping bags can be used independently or snapped together into the sleep system, providing comfortable year-round sleeping conditions. Snaps hold the sleeping bags and bivy cover in place, so they will not move or slide around on you when you’re trying to get in or out. Together, the sleep system is rated down to approximately -40 F. The dimensions of the different components are listed below, and should be considered rough estimations. These sleeping bags are in Very Good condition. These sleep systems have been previously used, and may show some signs of wear. All components you receive will be in fully functional working order, and should be free of holes or rips. These sleeping bags are machine washable, and therefore we do not consider artifacts from storage dust, smell, etc. As negative impacts to quality. Patrol Sleeping Bag – This OD green mummy-style sleeping bag is rated for temperatures down to 30 F. It also features Velcro fasteners around the hood which can be fastened to prevent openings during rainy or extremely cold weather. Compression Stuff Sack – This black stuff sack has 9 nylon straps for compression, 6 straps run the length of the bag and 3 straps run around the girth of the bag. Military Modular 4 piece Sleeping Bag System. Includes 2 Sleeping Bags with GORTEX Bivy Cover and stuff sack. USED – EXCELLENT CONDITION. EXCEPT SOME VERY TINY HOLES WE FOUND DURING CLOSE INSPECTION. Year Round 4 pc Modular Sleep System. Made in the USA! Official USA Military Army Surplus. During inspection, which includes having the bags examined against a very bright light, we discovered some VERY TINY holes. We’re talking pea sized or there abouts in the shell of the black and/or green bag, or a tiny couple of holes in the bivy. If the bivy has any tiny holes we include seam repair tape you can iron on to seal them up. You can leave the tiny hole(s) in the black or green bag alone or sew them with a couple stitches- ASSUMING YOU CAN FIND THE HOLES AS THEY ARE TINY TINY. Other than a few EVER SO TINY holes in the black bag, green bag and bivy cover, these are excellent sets, they are very close to new- except we can see a little paint wear on the zippers and some fuzz on the velcro strips which means they have been used a couple times, but very lightly, possibly indoors for training purposes only. Other than the VERY tiny holes we saw during inspection, these are truly mint condition bags- All zippers, buttons, Velcro, and ties are in perfect working order. They do not smell and there is no evidence they’ve ever been wet. These have been inspected, they are very clean, and are ready to use. These holes are so tiny, you may not even feel the need to repair them, but you could close them up with a little thread, but you will have to spend some time just to find the holes because they are REALLY tiny. The bivy cover may have a couple very small areas of layer separation which look like a few tiny air bubbles in the fabric- but this does not affect function. This happens with bivy covers that are machine washed over time. The elastic cords in all our bags are checked and certified to be fresh and tight. We also guarantee no missing or cracked buckles on our compression sacks, and all snaps and zippers are defect free.
