The Purist bag for the Minimalist, The shell is made from Pertex Quantum, It has a DWR treatment to the fabrics face to give it a degree of water repellency and also extra stain resistance. The synthetic insulation is Primaloft to give the best warmth to weight ratio available on the market, OMM have used different weights per panel to ensure the best technical usage of the fill. The base sheet is filled with Primaloft 60g, we then put the Primaloft 100g on the top sheet. The footbox is also shaped and filled with Primaloft 100g to keep the feet warm. The construction is also considered as we have a loose laid outer shell and the inner stitched through to the insulation again this is to maximise insulative value and eliminate cold spots. It’s compressible, breathable and has excellent water repellency so you remain dry, warm and comfortable even under the most extreme conditions. Primaloft filling: highest quality synthetic filling, compacts very well and resists humidity. The bag has seen relatively little use, is in excellent condition with no damage or stains. It is clean, has no smell. The only visible wear is with the printed markings having rubbed off somewhat (see photos). I only used this bag twice, since it is a bit too short for me. I’m 6’1. I then bought the long version of this same bag. The bag is supper light weight, under 2 lbs, packs down nicely and has the best of both worlds. 700 duck down top with a primaloft insulated bottom. Can be zipped together with any women’s bag, so you can co-sleep! Bag has no issues. Comes with storage case and compression bag. This 3-season, ultralight sleeping bag uses a clever design of water-repellent down and synthetic insulations and waterproof / breathable fabric panels for double the protection. REI double-protection design combines water-repellent fills with waterproof / breathable fabric at the hood, sides and footbox, the areas most likely to touch a damp tent wall. On top of the bag, where superior loft and warmth are key, the bag is filled with water-repellent 700-fill-power duck down. On the bottom is resilient Primaloft® Sport insulation, which performs well in a compressed under-bag space. Ripstop nylon shell also features a durable water repellent finish to further protect the bag’s insulations. Performance fit keeps weight low and thermal efficiency high. REI in-the-round design puts vertical baffles in side walls to wrap you in warmth and create a better fit than bags that use only horizontal baffles.
