A sleeping bag with year around versatility, rated to 0° F. The Timberline has proven itself year after year as a very reliable bag for backpacking, camping, or fishing… Truly a wise investment because of its long service life and high dollar value. A modified mummy design provides a non-restricting sleeping space along with all the warmth and comfort of Goose Down. About 60% of the total Down fill is in the upper half of the bag and the filling power is 550 cubic inches per ounce of Down. Each Down channel formed by the 1.1 oz. Ripstop baffle system is 6 inches wide with a parallelogram cross-section. A channel block baffle opposite the zipper side minimizes any chance of cold spots by controlling Down shift. The overall loft is 8 inches. The outer shell is a durable 1.9 oz. Ripstop nylon (Flame Retardant) in new contrastingî colors. The Timberline is available with either a left or right side, 70 # 10 Y. A plump Down filled tube insulates the entire zipper to eliminate any cold spots. Opposite opening Timberlines of any length will zip together to form a large, roomy double bag. Shoulder girth can be drawn in to shut out drafts and the hood serves as a pillow or can be drawn around your head with a cord-lock drawstring system. Stuffs to a 10″ x 18″ stuff sack which is included.

In girth, and 76 in. And it still fits great- in 1976 I weighed about 175lbs. Today about 205 lbs- getting old sucks. Used in late 1970′s through late 1980′s backpacking. Has been stored in multiple burlap bags, and then the past couple of years in a large cotton laundry type bag in a walk in closet. Still in great shape. There are some mildew stains on the bottom; see picture 7. All zippers work great. It has an integral foam pad. Warmlite still makes a down filled mattress which was an option at the time- which would make the bag lighter and smaller to pack. It just weighed in at 7.5 lbs. The nylon is vapor barrier, meaning waterproof coating- the inside silver lining is a little stiff, but still smooth. Stuff bag shows some miles, but is still sound.
