Up for sale is a Feathered Friends Peregrine sleeping bag. Here is some info about it: – I had this custom ordered from Feathered Friends back in 2011 before a 3 week trip to Denali. Have not used since. It’s filled with 850 fill goose down with 3 extra ounces of down for even more warmth. Left zip, regular length. Rated to -25 but more like -40 with the added 3 ounces of extra down. Very clean and odor free. Only thoroughly wiped down after my expedition to Denali. Always stored inside – never stored in a compressed stuff sack, except for the 3 weeks I used it. No holes, stains, rips or tears. However, the warning tag is falling off. Zippers in great shape. Comes included with the original TWO storage sacks. One smaller, one larger. (See photos) – The best, warmest and coziest sleeping bag I have ever used. The main difference between the Lynx and the Puma Super is the girth, with the Puma Super coming in at 66″/57″/39″ at the shoulder/hip/foot and the Lynx being tighter at 63″/55″/39″. This bag is teal blue in Color not Royal blue as the pictures show (don’t know why). This is a size 6’6. Loft is 8 1/2 inches, and was rated to -15F. Weight is 3lb 15oz. Fill is, of course, the exceptional 850 fill that Western Mountaineering is noted for. Condition is as good as new. I stopped winter ski mountaineering after using this bag twice, as I found I preferred sleeping in a hut instead of a tent! No marks, stains, or wear. Gore DryLoft was the predecessor to Gore’s Windstopper. Not fully waterproof (full Gore had condensation issues when used in a sleeping bag) but extremely water resistant. DryLoft is especially useful in humid winter conditions as it will reduce the slow loss of loft when used over many days in a damp environment (like a snow cave).
