The bedroll is ideal for travelling by canoe, on foot, or other wilderness camping even carrying on a motorcycle – Easy Rider style, protecting your blanket or sleeping bag from the elements. You can lie next to your small campfire and fall asleep without fear of your bedding catching fire or melting as polyester does when close to direct heat. I produce items and clothing for re- enactors and they are researched with a view to seek-out authenticity; however, concerning bed rolls, I have had much feedback, with many users putting forward their own specific requirements. With those kind comments together with their encouragement in mind, I have been working on a bed roll designed to suit those needs without too much of a compromise to authenticity. Length; 190cm (6ft 3) X96cm (3ft), extending to 230cm, with pillow sack out. This bed roll, is handmade and designed for use in all weather conditions with movement in mind. It can be used with just a blanket or it can accommodate a camping mat as well as blankets or a sleeping bag, but roomy enough to allow for movement. To the top end of the roll there is a’pillow’ sack, incorporated to facilitate a small pillow or to be stuffed with clothing instead of a pillow. This can be tucked away when not in use. During severe weather conditions, the bed roll is long enough to sleep inside, allowing for the head to be covered. Made from strong, 12oz, 100% cotton canvas. This is professionally treated canvas. It has a light wax like finish to it. It is designed for outdoor camping, with plenty of room for your bedding and clothing. Seams are double stitched for strength. The sides wrap over to give a. On top secured by means of a series of tabs and ties made of durable, cotton, straps, simple to fasten, quick to release, system. Instructions are enclosed with each bed roll. The foot of the bag is stitched, to hold everything neatly in place. There are two 1.5 meter long, herringbone cotton straps attached with’D’ clips, to be used to secure the bag when rolled up with bedding inside. The bedroll weighs approximately 8lb (not including your bedding) and is 50cm wide , when rolled. To clean, brush and wipe down with a damp cloth.
