FEATHERED FRIENDS OSPREY 800 DOWN SUB 30F SLEEPING BAG LONG LEFT EUC I bought this bag new about 10 years ago and used it sparingly. Ive slept in the bag at temps as low as 12F (wore a lot of clothes), but it works best around 25F and up. Feathered Friends still sells this model, which is rated to 30F, and the current model has a few differences, including a different, probably thinner and lighter, shell material, and I think the hood is slightly different. This bag works below 30F because I had them overfill it. Im 511 and weigh 180 and I could wear a significant amount of clothes while in the bag, but it is a trim bag, which makes for better thermal efficiency. I like a long bag because I can put extra clothes in the foot end and keep them warm and dry. This bag will fit a person up to about 6-6. The numbers are: 60/56/38 inches at shoulders/knees/feet Filled with 15 ounces of 800+ FP goose down (2 ounce overfill) Nextec waterproof/breathable shell Half length left zipper (saves weight, improves thermal efficiency) Weighs 2 pounds, 3 ounces (actual) on my digital scale There are no odors, stains, rips, or worn spots on this bag and the zipper works fine, as it did from day one. The only modification is the pieces of cord I put on the zipper pulls. Ive got a bunch of sleeping bags, so no individual bag sees a lot of use. I probably used it 20-30 nights. The storage sack is not the original, it came with an older sleeping bag, but it is a fancy FF anniversary sack, so I kept it. It had that pictured rip in it when I bought it. The stuff sack is not the original, but it is one that should work fine and is unused. I never use a stuff sack, and this bag has been stored in a heated upstairs bedroom in the generously sized FF storage sack. The bag has never been near anyones pets. I dont have any pets. The tag says the shell material is “Nextec”, which is a waterproof/breathable material. Naturally, the seams are not sealed, but when water drips on it, the water rolls off without penetrating the shell. I would not have bought a bag like this without a waterproof/breathable shell because I usually sleep in a singlewall tent, where exposure to condensation is a fact of life. The shell material is not an ultrathin, like 10d, but I’m guessing it is 20d or possibly 30d. We don’t like fragile.
