Criterion Expedition 1100 Product Description. The Criterion Expedition 1100 is designed for winter Alpinism and extreme cold expeditions. Weighing 1795g the Criterion Expedition 1100 is extremely light in weight for a sleeping bag designed to work in such cold environments. The Expedition 1100 is made as with all Criterion’s products the best materials on offer. Providing the insulation is 1100g of 850FP ethically sourced white Polish goose down. This is an extremely high quality down which provides the very high levels of insulation needed for extreme temperatures and it is housed in brick baffle (double offset boxwall) construction which eliminates cold spots. The fabric providing the shell for the Expedition 1100 is a combination of Pertex Quantum Pro (formerly Pertex Endurance) and Pertex Quantum 52g/m² (formerly Pertex Microlight). Pertex Quantum Pro is used on the outer shell and parts of the inner shell (footbox and hood), it is a robust fabric which is windproof and waterproof (please note the seams on the Expedition 1100 are not taped so the bag is not waterproof). On the inside of the bag, except for the hood and footbox, Pertex Quantum 52g/m² is used, this is a much softer feel fabric than Quantum Pro and it allows air to escape from the bag when trying to store it. Both fabrics have a DWR+ treatment which helps protect the down from any dampness that may occur. As well as the down and the baffle construction in the Expedition 1100, it has a double down filled zip baffle which eliminates heat loss through the full-length YKK zip and it also has a down-filled neck collar and hood baffle to provide insulation. If you do find yourself a little warm in this bag you can always use the 2-way YKK zips for venting to help control the temperature inside your sleeping bag. 850 FP Ethical Polish White Goose Down (95:5). Tundra Pure -40c 4-5 season Down Sleeping Bag same as rab 1200 but lighter. Professionally cleaned only damage is abrassions and tiny tear as per pic repaired with mcnett seam seal glue. Label is peeling off, it is printed on so comes off in wash. Other than that very good condition. Comes with both stuff and expansion sacks. These are extremely light with 880 fill power down.
