The North Face Solar Flare Sleeping Bag goes above and beyond the average down sack to help you stay warm in ridiculously cold and wet conditions. A Shadowlite HyVent shell keeps moisture from soaking the 800+ fill down insulation, and baffled construction eliminates cold spots. The North Face added anti-compression pads to the underside to keep the insulation from getting squished and becoming useless when you need it the most. Trapezoidal and box baffle construction create a constant baffle volume, keeping down in place and preventing cold spots. High-pressure areas (head, torso and feet) feature Polarguard® 3D pads instead of goose down for extra support and increased thermal efficiency. Shadowlite HyVent ripstop nylon shell is water-resistant, highly breathable and downproof. Nylon taffeta lining is soft against the skin and tightly woven for durability. Seven-chamber sculpted hood with color-coded, one-handed drawcords allow easy hood adjustment. Face comfort tube, oversized down-filled draft tube and down-filled draft collar minimize heat loss. Head-level watch pocket ensures that alarm will be heard. Vaulted, cloth-lined footbox allows natural foot movement and eliminates excess lateral space, increasing thermal efficiency around feet. Ground-level side seams keep warm air from escaping. Full-length, anti-snag zipper with glow-in-the-dark zipper pull. Comes with nylon mesh storage sack and compression stuff sack.
