Lightly used well cared for very nice condition H. (highest grade available) white goose down A16 warm mummy sleeping bag 82 long with hood (top of hood to bottom of bag on the outside) with slant box baffle design and differential cut shell design. Differential cut – outside shell cut 8 greater in diameter than inside shell provides less tendency to develop cold spots, gives far greater roominess for inside shell and is superior but more expensive to produce. Slant box baffle design – baffles are sewn between outer and inner shells at a slant, giving an overlapping construction. Safe well below 0 degrees if you are on a pad and the wind is blocked. Talon zipper with down inner flap. Zipper opens from top or bottom to allow for ventilation if wanted. Draw string around hood with toggle clasp. Comes with Holubar (of Boulder, CO) Stuff sack with flap over opening and drawstring closure with toggle clasp. Stuff sack has owner name and address on bottom. Weight of bag 4 lbs. Canadian Military Surplus -40 rated winter sleeping bag system. Includes an inner and outer down filled sleeping bag, fleece liner, scarf, compression bag, hood and insect net. The “EXCELLENT” condition sets are in near mint condition other than the fleece liner, the down is full and fluffy. The sleeping bags will from the year 2000 or newer, don’t get as many this new or in this good of condition. The fleece liners will have been sewn (I think they must wear their boots to bed, because almost every fleece liner I get is ripped, so I fix them). There is nothing worldwide in the market that can compare to these bags. They are the perfect combination of design, materials, practicality, and workmanship. The result is a versatile bag that will keep you warm and comfortable in any weather and environment. The set is a modular system, which means you can use some of the components together or all of the components, or any combination. When all 3 bag parts are used together you will be warm in -40 temperatures. The design is a combination of a mummy bag and a regular width rectangular shaped sleeping bag the result is a bag that is almost as portable as a mummy bag with the roominess of a square bag. The individual component size is listed below. The goose down insulation and the multiple layers of nylon shell material gives the entire set a weight of 12.4 lbs -or- 5.6 kg. Other bag sets on the market may be lighter but they are no way nearly as warm. The goose down also compresses down well, if the included stuff sack / compression bag is used it is possible to get the set down to an approximate 16 long x 12 diameter.
