Mountain Equipment Helium 250 down sleeping bag. Comes with large net storage bag and double-cinch stuff bag. Seen very little use. As can be seen in the pictures, this sleeping bag is very compact and very light. This is a top range backpacking sleeping bag that is rated at 2-3 season (see manufacturers ratings on the stuff sack). I have used this in March in the Cairngorms below zero and it was just about warm enough to be comfortable (with a liner, Thermarest and thermals) but they are not for full-on winter use. Also bear in mind that because these are designed for back-packing, they are quite minimalist so if you are on the large side (like me), you might struggle a bit. I have the XL and I’m 6′and 100kg. We have had these sleeping bags a while but they have hardly been used. The sleeping bag is clean and undamaged. There are a couple of loose threads on the stuff bag but otherwise perfect. Although one is a Standard size and the other is an XL, the zips are both the same length so they zip together no problem as can be seen in the pictures. I bought this at the same time I bought Marmot’s -20F bag for winter camping with my wife. She gets cold, so I figured she could use the -40F and I could use the -20F. She never went with me when it was cold enough to use this. This bag is great for really cold winter camping, winter/high altitude mountaineering, etc. Weight: 4lbs 8.89oz. Mountain Hardwear Mtn Speed 32 Sleeping Bag -850 Down. An ultralight, high performance sleeping bag with 850 FP treated down, superlight fabric, 7 denier nylon, almost translucent. Ive slept in this bag down to about 30F and stayed comfortable and warm all night. This bag weighs 1 pound 1 ounce on my digital scale. Clean, no stains, odors, abraded spots or tears. Hard to tell from new. This is a very trim bag. It fits me, at 5-11 in my stocking feet and 180 pounds. I always wear a light layer – long underwear and a hat – when sleeping in a bag. I might be able to wear a very thin down sweater in this bag, but it is a slim fit bag. The bag is long enough for me, but just barely. Im not sure it would fit if I were an inch taller. The hood is a typical Mountain Hardwear hood, well designed and comfy, but not generously sized. I fits me when wearing a hat, but no extra room. But this is what you get when you want a 30F bag that is just over one pound. The zipper is 32 inches long, less than half length. I’m 74 and I can slither in and out of the bag without difficulty. The Mountain Speed 32 has a well deserved reputation for having zipper problems. I tried putting clear nail polish on the zipper flaps, which were the problem, but although that helped, it was still a chore getting the zipper to work in either direction. Eventually, I cut the zipper flaps off. They were only about 1/4 inch wide, just wide enough to get under the zipper pull. The zipper now works better than ever, but occasionally there will be a loose thread, a leftover from the zipper flaps, and I have cut them off with a little scissors on my small Swiss Army knife. I zip and unzip slowly, with a finger in front of the zipper pull when zipping. If I meet resistance, I back off and try again. If it happens again, I investigate and sometimes have to clear a loose thread from the path of the zipper. It take less than 5 seconds to run the zipper full length, but avoids problems. The bag comes with a replacement stuff sack and a replacement mesh storage bag. I never used a stuff sack, just put the bag in my pack with the rest of my gear. NWT Western Mountaineering Apache SMF 15 Degree Down Sleeping Bag 6’6 Left Zip. The bag is in near mint condition. I’m not sure someone could tell it from a brand new one. I have only used this bag once, so it’s exceptionally clean. The bag has only been stored very loosely, never compressed. The down has it’s full loft and is very fluffy and full. This is the tall variant of the Apache and is meant for a person up to 6′ 6 (200cm). This bag is left zip and is the Super MicroFiber, which they no longer offer. They just sell the standard MF (microfiber) bags now. The biggest difference between the two is this bag has the big down collar at the top of the bag to hold in heat & prevent wind from entering. I do not have a compression bag for it (never used one). So you will receive the WM sleeping bag and the storage sack. I live in Texas, so my opportunity to use a 15f bag is very rare. When it was used, it was used on a short trip in Next Mexico when the low at night was 10-12f. The bag was very warm when my buddies were very cold in their synthetic insulation bags. Really love this bag, but I never use it, so it should go to someone else.
