Made in USA SUBZERO Extreme Cold Weather Sleeping Bag w. New Sealed in Bag, Unissued. These sleeping bags are Olive drab in color and made of water-repellent poplin cotton outer shell with 80% down 20% polyester filling. They feature a 64in long zipper, offset stitching at the seams and a 3in storm flap with snaps over the zipper rated for -20°F. Mummy style bags with a draw cord hood, with included green sleeping hood. Made by Gillette Industries, INC. These bags are 84 inches long, 30in wide at the top and 14in at the bottom and weigh 8lbs. They were issued from the 1970s into the early 2000s. The bag comes in one size, its in a mummy shaped bag made with quilted overlapping channels. The outer channels are filled with mixture of waterfowl feathers and down, the inner channels are quilted with batting to provide the necessary insulation. The shape and design of the bag give more warmth with less weight, the outer fabric is water repellent. The full length free-running fastener(zipper) at the front opening of the bag has webbing loops attached to the slider for ease of operation, the bag has snap fasteners provided on case the zipper fails, tapes at the bottom of bag are used to tie the bag when it is rolled. Canadian Military Surplus -40 rated winter sleeping bag system. Includes an inner and outer down filled sleeping bag, fleece liner, scarf and compression bag. The “GOOD” condition sets are in good usable condition, but will show the results of years of use in the field, the down is still full and fluffy. Most of the sleeping bags will have been repaired, sewn on the longer tears or Great Gear tape on the very small holes. Zippers will work on the bags, compression bags all have defects or have been repaired, fleece liners all have been sewn (I think they must wear their boots to bed, because almost every fleece liner I get is ripped, so I fix them), scarves will have defects, such as small holes or rough edges. There is nothing worldwide in the market that can compare to these bags. They are the perfect combination of design, materials, practicality, and workmanship. The result is a versatile bag that will keep you warm and comfortable in any weather and environment. The set is a modular system, which means you can use some of the components together or all of the components, or any combination. When all 3 bag parts are used together you will be warm in -40 temperatures. The design is a combination of a mummy bag and a regular width rectangular shaped sleeping bag the result is a bag that is almost as portable as a mummy bag with the roominess of a square bag. The individual component size is listed below. The goose down insulation and the multiple layers of nylon shell material gives the entire set a weight of 12.4 lbs -or- 5.6 kg.
