I have finally decided to part with my beloved Feathered Friends Widgeon sleeping bag. Sadly, an injury has left me with chronic back pain, so I’m not doing winter trips anymore. I haven’t used it in several years. This is actually my second Widgeon, I loved it so. A real go-anywhere, do-anything bag, it was designed as a single bag solution to take climbers from the airport, to the top of K2. Regular length, fits up to 6′ tall individuals. I had that done in an effort to get longer life out of the down. Continuous baffles allow the down to be shifted from under, to over your body, and vise-versa to match conditions. Luxuriously soft nylon lining – you won’t be disapointed! Webbing along the zipper make for snag free entry and exit. Draft tube (along the zipper). Removable collar for those warm nights at lower elevations. Trapezoidal baffles resist collapsing, and maintain loft better than simple parallelograms. 3-D engineered hood, which is also gore-tex lined to protect the down from moisture in your breath. Several snaps and 2 drawstrings around the face and neck effectively eliminate gaps and drafts. Finest Quality 900 fill power down. Bag is in excellent condition. There are a couple of small soil spots (see photos). Freshly washed, I have used a liner to avoid washing it because doing so reduces the lifespan of the down. I have either had Feathered Friends launder the bag, or I’ve done it myself, using Feathered Friends brand soap, and following their instructions carefully. I don’t think they offer a Gore-Tex option anymore, and I think they’ve eliminated the trapezoidal baffles – Probably because its’ too expensive to make. Yes, the bag is Gore-Tex. No, it is NOT a waterproof bag. No, the seams are not sealed. Excellent customer care from Feathered Friends, should you ever need repairs etc. 1652 grams 3.64 lbs. 8 – 9 inches of loft. US Army USGI Five Piece Improved Modular Sleep System. Size note / helpful tidbit: I have been able to compress the system complete down to 12″ x 12″. All photos are stock examples the item will be used good condition. The US Army Improved 5 Piece ACU Digital Sleep System is a sleeping bag system constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather. The system consists of two Mummy style sleeping bags. There is the Patrol (Foliage Green) and the Intermediate Cold Weather (Urban Grey). Each bag is constructed of water-resistant ripstop nylon. Each bag is fully functional independently in temperate condition, or used together for colder condition. For a temperature to -30°, insert the Intermediate Cold Weather bag inside the Patrol bag. Each bag is compatible with the vapor permeable bivy cover. When all 3 components are used together the system is rated to provide 4 hours sleep at -40°F. This 5 piece system includes both the small and large compression stuff sack. Non-flammable and machine washable. Water resistant ripstop nylon. Hood adjusts for heat retention; includes nylon drawcord and barrel lock. INTERMEDIATE COLD WEATHER BAG FEATURES. Water resistant, ripstop nylon. Free from cold spots. Insulation does not migrate in the bag. Anatomically designed foot box contains twice the insulation as the bag. Sewn-in, quilted chest collar prevents air drafts up and down through the hood. Hood adjusts for heat retention; includes nylon draw cord and barrel lock. Waterproof and windproof 3-layer laminant fabric. Includes snap fastener and slide fastener. ACU Digital Camo Pattern.
